Position Description
Develops and facilitates the operational procedures for the Willed Body Program (WBP) donor intake, preparation (anatomical embalming), storage, cremation, and disposition. This employee will ensure the integrity of the Institute of Anatomical Sciences and the Willed Body Program are safeguarded through operational procedures that adhere to the State Anatomical Board of Texas and TTUHSC regulations governing the operations of a Willed Body Program, as well as provide support and guidance to the TTUHSC's teaching and research missions. This employee will provide adequate oversight of the preparation and storage facilities while monitoring cadaver material and maintaining all associated files. The Willed Body Program Manager will support the operations and activities of the Willed Body Program. This position reports directly to the Willed Body Program Director.

Major/Essential Functions


Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of mortuary sciences and five (5) years of anatomical embalming experience. A current Texas Funeral Director and Embalmer's License, a current Crematory Operator License and a current Texas Driver's License. Knowledge of current rules and laws governing the death care industry in the State of Texas as put forth by the Texas Funeral Service Commission. Knowledge of State Anatomical Board of Texas Rules, Principles and Practices.
