Summary
Armed Security Officer (Part-Time)
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Rotating part-time schedule
- 8–32 hours per week
- Shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM
- Shift start times may vary between 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM
Requirements:
- Current Pennsylvania ACT 235 Certification
- Valid License to Carry Firearms
- Personally owned firearm and duty belt
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and personal vehicle
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass all required criminal, motor vehicle, and client background screenings
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional armed security presence.
- Conduct routine walking patrols and monitor assigned areas.
- Identify and report security threats, hazards, and suspicious activity.
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies in accordance with post orders and company policies.
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and emergency personnel.
- Follow all site-specific procedures while providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of security, law enforcement, military, or related experience.
- Strong communication, report-writing, and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
