Summary
Service Order Dispatcher
The Service Order Dispatcher supports the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) by receiving and coordinating maintenance service requests for facilities located across the installation. The dispatcher serves as the primary point of contact for customers requesting facility maintenance services and ensures requests are accurately documented, prioritized, and routed to the appropriate maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming service requests from installation personnel via phone, email, or electronic systems
- Document maintenance issues and create service requests in the government work order management system
- Assign service requests to appropriate maintenance personnel such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general repair technicians
- Track the status of work orders and provide updates to customers as needed
- Prioritize emergency and urgent maintenance issues according to established procedures
- Maintain accurate records of service requests and work order status
- Communicate with maintenance supervisors regarding workload and dispatch
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 12 years of experience in dispatch, customer service, or facilities maintenance coordination
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment
- Experience with work order management systems or ERP platforms preferred
