Introduction
About IBM Cybersecurity
IBM Cybersecurity brings together security consultants, engineers, analysts, responders, and technical specialists who help organizations strengthen resilience against evolving cyber threats. We are looking for early-career professionals excited to build technical skills and contribute to meaningful client work from day one. In this role, you'll support real-world cybersecurity challenges across security operations, cloud security, identity and access management, risk management, threat detection, incident response, and emerging technologies.
At IBM Consulting, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise-scale cybersecurity programs while developing technical, consulting, and business expertise in a collaborative environment.
To give yourself the best opportunity for success, we advise applying only to roles that align with your skills and experience, rather than applying broadly across all entry-level positions. You'll receive a status update email for each application, so be sure to check your IBM Careers account regularly - it's the best way to get a centralized view of which roles you have active applications against.
Your role and responsibilities
During your internship, you will support real client security projects that help organizations protect applications, data, cloud environments, and critical infrastructure.
You'll work alongside experienced consultants while building hands-on experience in cybersecurity, cloud technologies, security operations, automation, and AI-enabled security capabilities. Interns may also be considered for IBM's full-time Associates program based on performance and business needs.
Working with senior security consultants, you will help analyze business and technical requirements and support security solutions across people, processes, and technology.
You may contribute to activities including:
