Job Posting TitleSenior Technical Intelligence AnalystJob DescriptionJob Title: Senior Technical Intelligence AnalystUnderstanding the capabilities, limitations, and future direction of foreign weapon systems and emerging technologies is fundamental to maintaining the Nation's strategic and operational advantage. This position supports the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) through the Advisory Support & Technical Requirement Administration (ASTRA) effort, providing advanced technical analysis and advisory support to one of the Department of the Air Force's premier scientific and technical intelligence missions.Working alongside Government intelligence professionals, engineers, scientists, data specialists, and mission partners, you will help transform complex technical information into authoritative intelligence and actionable recommendations for senior leaders, acquisition organizations, operational commands, and the broader Intelligence Community.In this role, you will provide technical intelligence analysis and decision support across complex air, space, cyber, missile, ISR, electronic warfare, and emerging technology mission areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Conduct detailed research and analysis of foreign systems, technologies, capabilities, performance, vulnerabilities, and emerging threat developments.Integrate information from multiple technical and intelligence sources to develop defensible assessments and identify intelligence gaps.Perform technical studies, comparative analyses, trade studies, and Analysis of Alternatives supporting intelligence and mission requirements.Evaluate system concepts, architectures, designs, performance characteristics, operating principles, and technology maturity.Analyze complex scientific, engineering, operational, and intelligence data to identify trends, relationships, anomalies, and mission implications.Support development of scientific and technical intelligence assessments, intelligence reports, technical products, and executive-level briefings.Apply structured analytic techniques and quantitative methods to complex intelligence problems.Collaborate with collection managers, intelligence analysts, engineers, data scientists, modeling and simulation professionals, acquisition personnel, and operational subject matter experts.Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential effect on foreign capabilities, U.S. systems, and future operational environments.Support modeling, simulation, data analytics, and visualization activities used to understand system behavior and mission effectiveness.Assist with requirements development, intelligence production planning, capability assessments, and identification of collection or technical-analysis gaps.Support technical exchanges, working groups, Integrated Product Teams, intelligence reviews, and senior-level decision forums.Develop concise, technically defensible recommendations for Government leadership based on incomplete or complex information.Apply data science, automation, advanced analytics, or AI/ML-enabled tools where appropriate to improve technical intelligence analysis and exploitation.Maintain awareness of developments across Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, industry, academia, and foreign technology environments relevant to assigned mission areas.Required Skills/EducationEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Intelligence Studies, Operations Research, or another technical or intelligence-related discipline.Years of Experience: Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience providing scientific, technical, engineering, intelligence, analytical, or mission support to Department of Defense or Intelligence Community organizations.Required Qualifications:United States Citizenship.Strong research, technical analysis, and critical-thinking skills.Experience analyzing complex systems, technologies, intelligence information, or operational problems.Ability to integrate information from multiple sources and develop clear, defensible analytical conclusions.Experience developing technical reports, assessments, decision products, and briefings.Ability to communicate complex technical information to senior leaders and non-technical audiences.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating with technically and organizationally diverse teams.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment supporting high-priority national security missions.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience supporting NASIC, DIA, NGA, NSA, a Service Intelligence Center, or another Intelligence Community organization.Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S&TI) experience.Experience analyzing aerospace, space, missile, radar, electronic warfare, cyber, ISR, sensors, communications, propulsion, weapons, or related foreign capabilities.Experience with advanced analytics, data fusion, AI/ML-enabled analysis, or large technical datasets.Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools or analytical environments such as Python, MATLAB, R, AFSIM, STK, or comparable technologies.Experience with intelligence databases, geospatial or visualization tools, or analytical platforms.Knowledge of intelligence collection processes and intelligence production tradecraft.Understanding of systems engineering, mission engineering, architecture, or defense acquisition processes.Master's degree or Doctorate in a technical, scientific, engineering, intelligence, or related discipline.Relevant technical, intelligence, data science, cloud, or cybersecurity certifications.Travel: Occasional travel may be required in support of mission requirements.Security Clearance Required: Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility/access.Position Type:
