Summary
Strategic Communications And Public Affairs
Directs Anniston Army Depot's (ANAD) strategic communications and public affairs programs, leading command information, public information, and community relations activities for the depot and tenant organizations.
Advises the Command Group on communication strategy, public issues, media engagement, and crisis communication, and serves as the installation's official spokesperson.
Develops and executes communication plans to inform employees, media, community leaders, and government officials on ANAD missions, policies, programs, and emergency actions.
Leads media relations and outreach by preparing speeches, news releases, articles, and other materials, while building effective relationships with media, civic leaders, and stakeholders.
Oversees visual information services, including photography, graphics, video, television production, the depot newspaper, and other internal and external communication platforms.
Supervises office personnel by assigning work, evaluating performance, developing staff, and ensuring compliance with EEO, safety, security, training, and workforce management requirements.
