Position Description A graduate student in an institution within the Texas Tech University System employed in support of a department or unit responsible for work assigned by the supervisor within the unit or department which utilizes knowledge beyond undergraduate academic studies.
Major/Essential Functions Experience or academic preparation involving business administration, healthcare administration, public administration, compliance, risk management, finance, data analysis, or a related field. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage confidential information, detailed documentation, and multiple assignments under established deadlines.
- The Graduate Assistant supports the Compliance and Risk Management department through administrative, records-retention, data-tracking, and program-support activities.
- Responsibilities include assisting with travel reconciliation, purchasing and receipt documentation, invoice and credit card processing, scheduling, retention of departmental records, and maintenance of audit-documentation back-up.
- The position also assists with tracking, reporting, and trending departmental data and performance metrics and may support emergency preparedness, contracting, credentialing, compliance, and risk management initiatives. Work is performed under supervision and evaluated based on accuracy, timeliness, confidentiality, service, and completion of assigned responsibilities.

- Strong organizational, analytical, written communication, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and shared electronic document systems.
- Experience with purchasing, travel reconciliation, invoice processing, credit card documentation, scheduling, or other administrative functions.
- Ability to maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready records in accordance with retention requirements.
- Experience tracking, summarizing, reporting, or trending data and performance metrics.
- Interest in healthcare compliance, risk management, emergency preparedness, contracting, credentialing, or related institutional operations.
Required Qualifications - Enrolled in the graduate program of an institution within the Texas Tech University System.
