Position Description This a responsible professional position with limited administrative and supervisory duties at the unit level. Specific duties include testing, psychological evaluation and diagnostic services as well as counseling assigned patient caseload. This position functions under the supervision of a higher level licensed psychologist, but the individual has full professional responsibility for higher actions and advice.
Major/Essential Functions - Mental health screening and assessment: Completes timely and clinically sound mental health screenings and assessments using approved tools.
- Manage patient caseload: Effectively manages an assigned caseload by providing consistent clinical contact, monitoring progress, and updating treatment plans as needed.
- Facilitate counseling sessions: Facilitates individual and group therapy counseling sessions.
- Documentation: Completes all clinical documentation accurately and objectively.
- Crisis Intervention: Responds promptly and effectively to mental health crises.
- Other duties as assigned: Willingly performs all other assignments as directed by the superior.
Required Qualifications - Master's degree in psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university
