Position Description Texas Tech Physicians Endocrinology and Diabetes Center of Excellence is staffed with highly equipped professionals who have specific experience treating metabolic disorders in west Texas. Our providers are some of the most specialized in the region. Staffed with leading educators and researchers, TTUHSC strives to access effective treatment and reduce risks for patients with a variety of complications.
Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience.
Major/Essential Functions - Diagnose and treat hormonal imbalances and disorders.
- Prescribe medications, hormone replacement therapies and lifestyle adjustments for treatment plans.
- Provides ongoing care for diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, PCOS, etc..
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
- Documents all services in patient medical record.
- Participates in quality improvement and other patient care programs.
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in bedside teaching and lectures for fellows, residents and medical students.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications - MD/DO or equivalent.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
- Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Endocrinology Fellowship.
- Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
- Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.
