Position Description Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is dedicated to deliver exceptional, comprehensive, and holistic medical care. Major/Essential Functions - Assist Faculty with their study design and data analysis to answer to specific research and quality improvement questions. Provide expertise in the planning stages of research or quality improvement project, on data collection, on choosing and implementing appropriate methodologies, assist in determining sample techniques and interpreting results. Assist faculty and DNP students with their study design and data analysis.
- Assist in writing and reviewing reports and any manuscripts submitted for publication of study results. Assist in writing and reviewing reports, abstracts, and manuscripts submitted for government agencies, conferences, and publication.
- Evaluate the progress of funded programs and assist PIs on preparing reports, noncompetitive continuation applications, and implementation plans. Assist Pls/PDs with evaluation plan and progress report; Manage program required website; Prepare and submit required amendments, documents, and budget to funding agency.
- Design and maintain the databases used for capturing the required data for funded research/outreach programs. Design, create and maintain the databases for funded programs.
- Search grant opportunities, write grant proposals with Pls/PDs, prepare documents needed for grant applications, and submit grant applications to OSP. Assist faculty and DNP students and faculty members with their IRB applications. Assist grant applications and IRB applications.
- Assist faculty members with statistical interpretation and provide statistics workshops to faculty and DNP students. Provide statistics workshops for statistical analysis, data management, quality improvement, and other relevant topics to faculty and DNP students.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications - PhD.
- Experience working with a Clinical Department.
- Experience working with a Clinical Research Institute.
- Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.
