Position DescriptionTexas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock Texas is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Hematology Oncology physician to join their dynamic practice at the assistant or associate professor level. Prefer strong capabilities in: Benign and malignant hematology, and/or sarcoma, melanoma and head and neck.
The position includes:
- State of the art infusion center with beautiful atrium - 25 chairs, 7 private rooms and 3 procedural rooms
- Newly expanded and remodeled clinic that offers immediate access to other cancer specialists. The hospital is also expanding infusion access to a new location to keep up with city growth to be completed in 2023.
- Strong multidisciplinary disease specific tumor boards in breast cancer, GI, lung and head and neck.
- Multidisciplinary clinics in breast, GI and lung including a lung cancer screening program and high-risk breast clinic.
- Nurse Navigation in breast, lung and GI in addition to a financial navigator.

Major/Essential FunctionsRank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Inpatient Hem/Onc consult service
- Inpatient Hem/Onc service
- Outpatient Hem/Onc clinic at the UMC Cancer Center 4 half days per week
- Supervising residents and fellows and service in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide lectures and conferences for residents, fellows, and medical students
- Conducts and publishes peer reviewed clinical research
Occasional Duties
General Internal Medicine inpatient attending 2-4 weeks per year.Occasional clinic at corrections facility.
Required Qualifications- MD/DO or MBBS.
- Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
- Board Eligible in Hematology or in the process of completing a Hematology Fellowship, OR;
- Board Eligible in Oncology or in the process of completing an Oncology Fellowship.
