OVERVIEW

Kitsap County DCD seeks a BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST to join our team of professionals.

The Business Intelligence Analyst provides data analysis and consultation to support strategic and operational decision-making across the department. This position leads the development of data strategies, conducts multi-dimensional research, formulates actionable recommendations, and coordinates the implementation of solutions to address management and operational issues. Serving as a specialist and/or lead on high-impact data management and visualization projects, the analyst also designs and implements processes for monitoring and measuring the outcomes of departmental activities.

A key focus of this role is leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform—including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate—to develop custom solutions, automate workflows, and build dynamic dashboards tailored to operational and management needs. Acting as a technology liaison, the analyst collaborates with Information Services and department stakeholders to support system design, development, and implementation. Additional responsibilities include translating business needs into technical solutions, supporting system administration, enhancing data accessibility, and deploying collaborative tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to improve efficiency across programs and departments.

Employees are covered under the PERS retirement plan provided through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems and Social Security.

11 paid holidays and 2 additional floating holiday per year

Vacation Leave
New employees are credited with 48 hours of annual leave upon hire and will be begin accruing at the rate of 8 hours per month starting on their 7th month of employment. Employees may carry over 360 hours from one calendar year to the next. Annual leave accrual will increase upon tenure, as follows:

Upon completion of 3 years: 15 days per year (10.00 hours per month)
Upon completion of 5 years: 20 days per year (13.33 hours per month)
Upon completion of 10 years: 25 days per year (16.67 hours per month)
Sick Leave
All new hires will be credited with 48 hours of sick leave upon hire and will begin accruing at the rate of 8 hours per month starting on their 7th month of employment. Employees may carry over 1200 hours from one calendar year to the next.

$84,260.39 - $107,796.26 Annually
