Parking and Fuel Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day management of the County’s parking infrastructure, including both public and private facilities. You will also manage the County’s parking contract, ensuring efficiency and compliance with service standards. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing commercial and private fuel sites, managing fuel inventories, ordering and contractor relationships.

Essential Functions: - Oversee County Parking Operations: Manage daily operations, contracts and vendor performance for public and private parking facilities serving over 1,500 employees and the public; ensure policy compliance, access control, revenue tracking and system data integrity
- Lead Fuel Management for County Fleet: Direct operations across Commercial and County-owned fuel sites, including inventory control, equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, commercial fuel card management and reconciliation for over 1 million gallons of fuel annually
- Manage Contracts and Financial Oversight: Administer multiple high-value contracts related to parking and fuel systems, including service providers, software vendors and maintenance partners; monitor and report on budgets which exceeds $4 million in combined annual expenditures/revenues
- Supervise and Develop Staff: Provide leadership to direct reports including a Parking Supervisor; manage recruitment, training, performance evaluation and operational planning to ensure high-functioning, customer-focused service delivery
- Provide skillsets that include: Researching and developing strategies and solutions, human resource experience to recruit, hire and develop, developing procedures, protocols and standard operating procedures

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Bachelor's degree
- Three years of job-related experience
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Experience with Wake County parking and fueling operations
How Will We Know You're 'The One'? - Demonstrated experience in contract management, including oversight of service vendors, negotiating terms and ensuring compliance with performance standards
- Strong financial and data analysis skills, including budget oversight, revenue reconciliation, inventory control and regulatory reporting
- Proficiency in facilities or fleet management software systems, such as FM Interact, fuel tracking systems, parking management systems or access control platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to engage with internal departments, external contractors and community partners effectively
