The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (ORHPC) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator. This position will report to the ORHPC Chief.
- Serve as the Program Coordinator for the Missouri Graduate Medical Education (GME) Grant Program, authority granted by 191.592 (SB 106).
- Responsible for the development and administration of the GME work plan, including overseeing project activities, reporting requirements, and associated contracts; coordination with other agencies; development of materials; provision of technical assistance and training; and program evaluation activities including collecting, tabulating and interpreting required data.
- Responsible for monitoring grant recipients and contractors to ensure adherence to deliverables and requirements, and facilitating activities between stakeholders, partners, and contractors.
- Provide technical assistance, direction on projected planning needs, and oversight of collaborations between federal, state, and community entities to improve cooperation.
- Assist with additional health workforce development efforts within the ORHPC, which includes some statewide and national travel.
Minimum Qualifications: - This position requires a high level of written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate is someone who can build impactful partnerships and has excellent networking skills as well as a visionary with innovative problem-solving and advanced critical and analytical thinking skills.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with or knowledge about graduate medical residency programs.
- Requires knowledge of current trends and developments in public health, medical sciences, and health care; the ability to plan, organize, implement, administer, and complete complex assignments; the ability to interpret and explain policies, laws, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
