The Office of CyberSecurity is seeking a technically proficient and proactive Cloud Security Analyst to join the team! This role is pivotal in leading and coordinating cloud security initiatives across various teams, ensuring secure cloud implementations, monitoring security dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical security challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, experience with cloud management consoles, and the ability to lead initiatives to completion.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Office of CyberSecurity (OCS).

- Develop, maintain, and enhance security dashboards to provide real-time insights into cloud security metrics.
- Review IAC and ensure that cloud deployments adhere to established security policies and best practices, coordinating with relevant teams to address potential vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with IAM, Mobility, Risk and Compliance, Incident Response, Infrastructure, BCDR and other ITSD teams to support secure cloud implementations and resolve technical security issues.
- Utilize and manage security tools and platforms and cloud-native security services, to monitor and protect cloud environments.
- Support compliance efforts by ensuring cloud environments meet regulatory requirements and internal security standards.
- In-depth understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated security tools and practices.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex data sets, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to lead and coordinate security initiatives across multiple teams.
- Capacity to work independently and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Aptitude for continuous learning to stay abreast of emerging security trends and technologies.
- Security background a plus.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant. Knowledge of IT forensic concepts, domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures. Knowledge of intrusion detection methods and techniques, and internet architecture. Ability to think methodically and critically. Ability to recognize security intrusions and take appropriate action. Ability to research and identify causes of security breaches.

Salary:
$73,288.51-$86,373.79 per Year
