MO HealthNet Division has an opening for a
Special Assistant Professional (Behavioral Health Associate) within the
Transformation Office located in
Cole County. Semi-monthly salary: $3,396.97
Job Location: This position is located at the
Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.
The
Department of Social Services partners with families and communities to protect children, rehabilitate youth and move families to self-sufficiency so that Missourians can lead safe, healthy and productive lives.
Why you’ll love this position: The Transformation Office is made up of a small team of individuals that are responsible for the identification and implementation of transformative initiatives for the Missouri Medicaid (MO HealthNet). These initiatives involve complicated sequencing and collaboration with multiple stakeholders related to the coordination, planning, and organization of various activities associated with advancing these initiatives. The person selected for this position will be exercising knowledge of principles and best practices in children’s behavioral health while navigating complex and large-scale system redesign and projects. This fast-paced environment provides a unique opportunity to think outside the box and bring forth innovation and long-lasting improvements in child wellbeing through leveraging Missouri’s Medicaid program.
- Collaboration with other DSS child custodial agencies (Children’s Division & Division of Youth Services) and other child serving state departments (Department of Mental Health & Department of Health and Senior Services).
- Ongoing monitoring of federal programs and legislation related to children’s mental health
- Reviews and/or develops content for inclusion in manuals, SPAs, managed care contracts, state regulations, agency reports, and internal/external agency policies.
- Provide research and data analytics related to utilization and trends needed to inform policy
- Lead successful prioritization of tasks/functions to maintain progress toward project goals and timelines.
- Collaborates with advocacy groups, stakeholders, managed care entities and other MHD teams.
- Occasional travel to attend project events, meetings, workgroups and community-led initiatives.
- Participates in public speaking events.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of experience (substitutions may be allowed).
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree (Substitutions may be allowed).
- At least 5 years working in children’s mental or behavioral health.
- Knowledgeable of Lean Six Sigma principals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (including Project) and Tableau.
- Familiarity with Missouri state government structure - executive branch (departments), legislative branch (process), etc.
- Familiarity with local child advocacy/stakeholder groups.
