A Business Process Analyst position is available with the City of Fort Worth Water Department in the Plant Operations Division. Plant Operations is responsible for 5 water treatment plants, one wastewater treatment plant, a dryer facility, multiple lift stations, tanks, pump stations, and large meters for the City of Fort Worth as well as customer cities.
The position will be responsible for performing SCADA system maintenance, testing, performing patches, generating reports, debugging and analysis of system data, writing SQL Queries to extract data out of different applications and/or databases.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business or Public Administration.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass Drug Screen
Preferred Qualifications: - Two (2) years’ experience in process control systems
- Computer skills, including programming
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Web development software
- Experience with SCADA/DCS, EDS System or Maximo systems.
- Knowledge of fundamentals and principles of computer technology, systems analysis and design and operating systems.
- Familiar with programming languages for web development, writing SQL Queries and Visual Basic Applications for Microsoft Excel, Jython, Python, Java, WIMS Software
The Business Process Analyst I responsibilities include: - Prepare and analyze technical reports related to Plant Operations Division for staff, management and other external agencies.
- Performs business analysis, collects and analyzes the business requirements to ensure successful implementation.
- Inform Operations/Management Staff regarding deviations from Normal Operating Conditions.
- Conduct Business Process Analysis tasks as directed.
- Web development/updates performed on the City Intranet.
- Update Electricity/Natural Gas Models for all Water/Wastewater facilities
- Perform research on O&M manuals for various plant assets.
- Troubleshoot computer/network related issues.
- Perform and assist in performing patches on the Ovation SCADA system.
- Modify existing scripts/code to accommodate changes within the SCADA reporting/data entry packages.
- Create/Update Dashboards using WIMS software
- Create/Update Field Data Entry Forms for the VCWRF Operations Staff - RIO Software
- Provide assistance in Jython/Python scripting for the new SCADA system
- Develop thorough and organized SOPs for SCADA related activities.
- Provide assistance in updating and creating the Plant Operation SOPs for all water/wastewater facilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
