Position DescriptionPerforms professional level work at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center by conducting classes on a per-course or limited-term basis, without any guarantee of continuing employment. Responsibilities encompass the coordination and instruction of one or more courses within a prescribed curriculum. Teachers in this classification usually specialize in the academic subject, professional discipline or technical skill being taught at the time of employment. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based upon results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees assigned to area of responsibility.
The ideal candidate will maintain academic standards as established by the school and the university. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean/Department Chair.
Major/Essential Functions- Teaches one or more subject areas as assigned within the individual's area of specialty practice.
- Teaches students in online, clinical, laboratory and/or classroom settings.
- Assumes responsibility for and/or participates in the planning and organization of courses to which assigned.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
- Current Pharm.D. license in the State of Texas.
