Position DescriptionAnalyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.
Major/Essential Functions- Works closely with faculty and the Office of Sponsored Programs to ensure all grant applications from this department are processed accurately, adhering to institutional and agency deadlines and stated guidelines.
- Is knowledgeable of federal, state and private granting agency guidelines
- Interacts effectively with Sponsored Programs Office and submits grants via the institutional Cayuse System.
- Works closely with the department administrator and chair to manage office activities related to the department's administrative, educational and research activities.
- Assists in collecting data and preparing ad hoc reports as requested by superiors, both from internal and external requests for information.
- Ensures effort and personnel-related costs are reported accurately according to institutional and grant funding agency policies.
- Process travel reimbursements for the department using the Chrome River System, adhering to the Travel Policy Guidelines for the Institution.
- Reconcile transactions in the departmental database using Cognos reports to track, budget, and report on account activity for the department.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in job related field plus two (2) years responsible related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal six (6) years.
