Position Description
A job involving an appointment for infrequent temporary work where the employee is called in as needed.

Major/Essential Functions

• Maintains appropriate documentation related to all experiments (lab notebook), protocols, equipment, safety requirements, inventory, and orders.
• Ensures overall cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and laboratory equipment.
• Orders and maintains adequate stocks of all necessary supplies and consumables, with PI's approval.
• Verifies the good working order of all essential laboratory equipment on a daily basis, and takes immediate measures when malfunctions are noted.
• Plans, designs and conducts laboratory experiments.
• Summarizes data and assists PI in data analysis.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in one of the sciences, or equivalent combination (4 years) of job-related experience and college education. Experience may be substituted for college education on a year-for-year basis.
