Description
The Geographic Information System Analyst Senior is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and maintaining spatial data, application, integration and geoprocessing services and solutions.

Description:Please Apply by: May 30, 2025 Starting Pay: $86,314.23 - $112,208.50 Top out Pay after Years of Service: $138,102.71- Analyze, design, develop and maintain complex geographic databases and feature sets. Perform updates and edits. Determine structure, integrity and data exchange.
- Independently evaluate, develop and program computer software applications to automate data capture, conversion and maintenance procedures related to Geographic Information System (GIS). Determine application and data architecture. Debug programming code and make detailed programming decisions. Determine data conversion algorithms. Create processes and procedures.
- Troubleshoot GIS data, processing or integration issues.
- Coordinate the efforts of external contractors and suppliers to meet project objectives. Make recommendations to management. Create and maintain schedules. Provide technical guidance as required. Prepare draft project budget submissions and monitor project budget compliance.
- Design, develop and maintain programmatic solutions for fulfilling map and data requests in response to internal and external customer service requests. Determine needs. Select appropriate data. Coordinate production.
- Review, evaluate and verify mapping data or themes provided by other government agencies or private sector contractors for accuracy and consistency. Modify and correct database values as necessary. Provide quality assurance and quality control on both internal and external spatial data, both manually and by means of automated mechanisms.
- Serve as lead worker to schedule and coordinate activities amongst several GIS team members.
- Communicate vision and leadership both internally and externally for the County's enterprise GIS efforts.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred
- Five years programming experience.
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Professional Certification.
Education:Bachelor's Degree
