Position DescriptionDirects, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Major/Essential FunctionsThis position will support several financial and administrative operational functions for the Office of Research and Innovation, such as:
- Budget Management and Budget Prep
- Procurement & Contracts
- Travel
- Memberships & Subscriptions
- Start Up Funding & Seed Grants
- Administration of the Research Institutional Data Storage System
- Research Space Allocation
Position will also collaborate with the Assistant Vice President, Finance and Administration, to respond to needs from our research community and other institutional stakeholders for information regarding research initiatives, space, strategic plan and other items as needed.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related area plus five years of progressively responsible management experience OR a combination of education and/or years of experience in management to equal a minimum of 9 years.
