Job Description

Location: Central Office; 123 Robert S Kerr Ave OKC, OK 73102

Salary: up to $52,970.00, based on education and experience

Full Time /Part Time: Full time

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Primary Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Position Description:

The Trauma & EMS Development Navigator plays a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of trauma and emergency medical services across the state. This position is responsible for coordinating statewide initiatives, providing support for the Trauma System at approximately 75% capacity and the EMS System at approximately 25% capacity. The role involves planning, coordinating, and evaluating the development and implementation of trauma and EMS services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

A master’s degree in communications, social science, business or public administration, health care administration, health planning or statistics and one year of professional experience in health planning; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

2-3 years of experience in trauma or public health trauma operations, EMS, or related fields, with experience in program development and administration highly desirable.

Valued Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Knowledge of federal and state laws and administrative regulations pertaining to Trauma and EMS systems. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make data-driven recommendations for improving Trauma and EMS services. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to explain health system operations and respond to organizational needs. Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions. Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across Trauma and EMS sectors

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is typically performed in a climate-controlled office setting with moderate noise levels. The position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of a computer and phone.May require occasional lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.Driving (may be long distances). Travel, including overnight stays and weekend travel, may be required for meetings and site visits.Being present in the office is an essential function of this job
