Permanent status cannot be earned in this grant funded position. This Temporary appointment can be concluded prior to the stated temporary appointment end date, normally with a two-week notice period. Continuation of this temporary appointment is contingent upon grant funding.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$6,371.00 - $7,350.00 Per Month ($76,452.00 - $88,200.00 Annually)

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Position Summary

The Administrative Lead of the Student Enrichment Opportunities (SEO) office will receive lead work from the Director of SEO and be under the general direction of the CoSE Associate Dean. The incumbent will be responsible but not limited to provide lead administrative support for SEO. The Administrative Lead will act as the primary point of contact for the office, with the goal of maximizing the effectiveness of the office and creating programs and strategies to enhance student diversity, recruitment and retention. In this capacity, the Administrative Lead will work with the Director to determine strategic plans that will result in maximizing support for SEO undergraduate and graduate student scholars. The incumbent will be responsible for communicating with students, faculty or other SEO personnel in all formats. The incumbent will also collaborate with campus faculty enrollees in SEO programs and outreach to community members for SEO program tasks and projects. The Administrative Lead will oversee office staff responsibilities and will directly interact with the grant program directors and the SEO Director or Associate Directors as needed. The Administrative Lead will help maintain the website, produce a weekly newsletter to all scholars and student mentors, hold weekly staff meetings, will work with Program Directors to help coordinate grants administration, compliance, and reporting activities, and will interact with recruiters nationally in organizing their participation in recruiting events on the SFSU campus. They will coordinate evaluation of activities and ensure that data collection uses best practices with the solicitation and handling the confidentiality of our data.
