Real Estate Services Department (RESD) is seeking highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individuals to join our team as a
Management Aide.* This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the operational success of the department while gaining valuable experience in policy development, fiscal management, and personnel services. This position will support Real Estate Services Department a nd Project & Facilities Management Department.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the research and development of operational policies and procedures, ensuring that they align with department goals and regulatory standards.
- Provide administrative support to fiscal and personnel services, helping manage budgets, financial reporting, and personnel management functions.
- Assist with general administrative duties, including drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
- Supervise a small staff of Office Assistants or other clerical support staff, overseeing day-to-day operations, delegating tasks, and ensuring timely completion of duties.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation of various departmental functions.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must undergo a background check which includes fingerprints, medical exam, and review of employment history.

*Salary increases contingent upon Property Related Revenue and/or statewide Realignment Sales Tax Collections performance.
Minimum Requirements Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework from an accredited college/university in business/public administration, behavioral/social science, accounting/finance or other relevant field of study. (Transcripts
must besubmitted with the application or the application will be disqualified).
-AND-Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience within an employment or personnel services office in at least
one of the following areas: 1) assisting with employment/payroll studies, which included administering surveys or researching data for analysis; 2) assisting or supporting professional staff with analysis of personnel/payroll related functions, such as recruiting, hiring or onboarding, personnel/payroll rules and regulations or policies and procedures .
Substitutions - Experience Substitution: Fifteen (15) semester (22.5 quarter) units of completed upper division college coursework in public/business administration or qualifying field may be substituted for six (6) months of experience.
- Education Substitution: One (1) year of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of college coursework.
Note: Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have experience in leading and developing projects, as well as presenting data and business information visually. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with EMACS/NEOGOV are highly desirable.
