Role

Community Health Services is seeking a dedicated Health Educator II to join our team. This position will focus on providing education, support, and guidance to clients transitioning from incarceration and working toward sobriety. The Health Educator II will serve not only as a resource for health promotion and recovery but also as a peer mentor - helping clients build confidence, develop healthier lifestyles, and successfully reintegrate into the community. Ideal candidates will bring strong communication skills, compassion, and the ability to connect with individuals through both professional expertise and lived experience.

Major Duties, Responsibilities



Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Associate degree in a health-related field.

Experience:
No experience required.
An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-per-year basis.

Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must possess a current fingerprint clearance card Issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The work environment is associated with an office and various indoor and outdoor areas. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, and walk over rough, uneven surfaces and lift up to 20 pounds.
