Full-time position available with the Housing & Community Development Department, Tenant Advocacy/ERAP Division located at 414 East 12th Street
Salary: $4619/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.*Telework available after six month probationary period.*

Responsibilities
• Reviews supplemental documentation submitted by service providers for residents participating in our Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
• Explores strategies for expanding or improving our Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
• Serves as a facilitator of information for our emergency rental assistance providers and our Right to Counsel service providers to ensure programmatic efficiency.
• Facilitates agreements between service providers and the City of Kansas City for services related to local and federal programs.
• Ensures all agreements comply with the City's procurement and contracting policies.
• Conducts compliance and monitoring activities to ensure proper financial management of program funds.
• Process invoices and reimbursement requests for the assigned programs
• Collect and analyze data to demonstrate program effectiveness.
• Organizes and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders regarding the Emergency Rental Assistance Program and Office of Tenant Advocacy activities.
• Provides detailed written reports to Department leadership on the Emergency Rental Assistance Program and other Office of Tenant Advocacy activities.
• Collaborates with intra- and inter-departmental staff to achieve housing and community development goals set by the Department and the City.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in business or public sector administration to include at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience with at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
