Job Description:

Program Manager II

Purpose:

Under limited direction, responsible for developing, implementing and managing moderately complex program(s) that integrates multiple elements or projects to achieve a defined objective.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

May be responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for discharge.

Urban Forestry’s (UF) mission is to be steward of the ~340,000 trees within the public right-or-way (ROW) while reducing risk to public safety, clearing sightlines and improving visibility, and ensuring safe, open access free from obstruction by trees or vegetation for all modes of travel. This position supports the mission by managing Urban Forestry’s program for tree care and maintenance by supervising a professional staff of ISA certified arborist, administrating service contracts for tree care and maintenance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This position is considered an “Essential” role and is essential to the operations of the City based on the preparation, response, and recovery phase of extraordinary situations or emergency conditions. As an employee that has been designated as “Essential” the expectation will be to work at a designated work site during declared extraordinary situations or emergency conditions to serve the community.

This position is considered “Essential” to maintain critical operations and core services. Essential Employees during emergencies play a role in ensuring the public health, safety, and welfare of our community and ensuring City operations continue.

Salary Range:

$71,630.00 - $90,980.00
