Position DescriptionThe School of Health Professions seeks an employee to contribute to the advancement of institutional student success, as well as the success of prospective students, staff, and faculty, in order to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals. The ideal candidate would demonstrate experience in managing multiple, diverse projects simultaneously, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, organization, collaboration, and flexibility.
Major/Essential Functions- Prepare and maintain individualized degree plans utilizing DegreeWorks and EM curriculum resources.
- Process add/drop, withdrawal, and leave of absence requests while supporting SHP(School of Health Professions) enrollment and retention initiatives.
- Provide advising and student engagement outreach for students, fostering valuable and supportive relationships.
- Assist students in identifying appropriate SHP and institutional resources.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of every student advising interaction using various digital resources and information management systems.
- Stay current on distance education program requirements, course offerings, important dates, SHP, and institutional educational resources.
- Assist with Banner and Xtender Tasks, including digital imaging and indexing.
- Assist with SHP Enrollment Management tasks.
- Assist in answering phones and fielding questions about the School of Health Professions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality for applicants, current students, faculty and staff.
- Assist with School of Health Professions special events..
- Support new student engagement and enrollment management initiatives.
- Observe work safety rules.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related area of study and 2 years of student support experience in a mentoring, advising, tutoring, or related capacity.
