Position DescriptionManages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.
Major/Essential Functions- Supports the Associate Managing Director of Payment Services with general oversite of the operations of the department to ensure daily production and operational goals are met.
- Provides oversight, instruction, guidance and supervision to the Accounts Payable staff.
- Monitors and ensures delivery of a strong internal control environment ensuring payments are processed in compliance with State and Institutional rules, guidelines and policies.
- Provides assistance and guidance to all TTUHSC departments, individuals and vendors in processing payment requests and resolving issues related to Payment Services.
- Develops and maintains effective interpersonal relationships with staff and internal Departments.
- Assists with development of new solutions and processes enabling the department to deliver responsive, efficient and effective service.
- Collaborates with IS and others to resolve issues within the AP systems.
- Works in cooperation with all areas within Business Affairs to meet its mission.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree plus three years of supervisory experience OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years.
