Description

Full-time position available with the Aviation Department, Facilities Structural Division, located at 1 Kansas City Blvd.
Starting Salary: $22.52/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. schedule can vary as determined by operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists the airport terminal manager in supporting terminal and land-side quality standards.
• Assists the terminal manager with conducting terminal inspections for cleanliness, accurate display of information, potential hazards, items/equipment out of service, etc., and open work order tickets, as necessary.
• Observes flow of passengers in the terminal, pre/post security, and curbside
• Reports any concerns to the appropriate division.
• Assists in training employees and tenants on terminal related emergency response and terminal operations plans, using a variety of training platforms and training materials.
• Documents creation/modification for all terminal needs to support organization.
• Assists with special event groups to ensure positive experience for customers.
• Performs research and coordinates responses related to customer complaints and/or suggestions that fall under terminal manager's responsibility.
• Provides support to the baggage handling system vendor and TSA/contract screening company and communicates with airline tenants to maintain efficient operation of the system.
• Participates in monthly terminal wide safety meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
