THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Stanislaus County Law Library is recruiting for a vacancy to work with our passport application acceptance team. We are looking for a well-rounded and reliable individual to join us and to help promote our programs. We are looking for candidates who are detailed oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and have strong customer service skills. The candidate must be certified/certifiable as a passport acceptance agent through the US Department of State with a high degree of processing accuracy. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.

THE POSITION

The Administrative Clerk II performs a variety of typing and clerical tasks of average difficulty, under general supervision. This journey level position requires knowledge of departmental policies and procedures relative to office operations and performs with greater independence than the entry-level classification. Judgment and initiative in making decisions in accordance with established guidelines is required. Promotes a professional image by the efficient performance of a variety of business and clerical tasks designed to facilitate the smooth flow of work throughout the department. This position requires direct customer facing tasks in the form of reviewing passport applications and verifying and accurately recording identifying applicant information. Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must. This position is subject to overtime, standby, callback, weekend, holiday, and shift assignments. Performs related duties as assigned. This position is required to verify and accurately record passport applicant information concisely.

Unless otherwise provided, this position is part of the Classified Service of the County and is assigned to the Office Worker/Clerical bargaining unit for labor relations purposes.

Individuals who are in a full-time classified position are required to serve a twelve-month probationary period, which may be extended an additional six months for a total of eighteen months.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
