- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, external agencies, community partners, and professional organizations.
- Commitment to operational consistency, high-quality service delivery, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for managers, supervisors, and staff.

Education and Experience:MINIMUM: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with major coursework in human resources, public or business administration or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources administration, payroll and/or risk management which has included one (1) year of project/program management and development and/orone (1) year as a supervisor or lead over professional and administrative support staff. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
PREFERRED:In addition to the minimum, an advanced degree in a closely related field, additional years of human resources management experience, and/or possession of a valid SPHR/PHR, ARM, ARM-P, CSP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP and/or PMP certification(s).
Licenses and Certification:- The ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; maintain throughout employment.
Special Requirements:- Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation which may include Live Scan fingerprinting prior to hire.
- DMV printout prior to hire.
- Attend meetings outside of normal working hours.
- Respond to emergency situations during weekends, holidays and other off-hours shifts.
- Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109.

$113,100.00 - $124,416.00 Annually
