Accounting Associate I

Purpose:

This position provides accounting and financial support to City management by processing, researching, and analyzing accounting data and transactions; prepares basic financial reports and financial statements.

The purpose of this position is to support the Austin Housing Accounting Division with administrative activities related to basic accounting, processing financial transactions, and handling financial statements/reports. The ideal candidate will have experience with cash handling responsibilities and a strong working knowledge of preparing and processing travel requests.

Salary Range:

$22.05 - $24.26 per hour.

Street Jones Building

1000 E. 11th Street

Austin, Texas 78702

Days and Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Hours may vary due to operational needs. Alternate schedule and remote work options may be available.
