Full-time position available with the Health Department, Fountain ID Division located at 2400 Troost Ave
Salary Range: $20.48-$30.71/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
Position Summary: This is a highly responsible management position providing first-line supervisory support to the Program Manager of Life Essentials. The role oversees a team of two staff - Administrative Assistants and ensures efficient operations in compliance with regulations. The position requires independent judgment, discretion, and strong leadership skills to manage complex administrative processes and deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities - Oversees the daily operations of the Fountain ID Program, ensuring efficient processing, exceptional customer service, and compliance with city policies.
- Supervises 2 staff, manages application workflows, maintains secure recordkeeping, and coordinates outreach efforts to increase program awareness and accessibility.
- Trains and evaluates program staff, develops procedures to improve service efficiency, handles escalated customer inquiries, and collaborates with city departments, community organizations, and stakeholders to expand program reach.
- Monitors program performance, track data, and provide reports with recommendations for program enhancements.
- Attends outreach events to represent the program & the Health Department.
- Generates reports monthly
- Possesses knowledge in public service, program management, and customer engagement, with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ensures that all Kansas City residents have equitable access to the Fountain ID, fostering a sense of belonging and improving access to municipal and regional services.
- Cross-trains with Vital Records.
- Delivers presentations to Community Wellness Ambassadors (CWA).
- Coordinates outreach events such as Annual Project Homeless Connect KC and Health on the Block.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience to include professional experience in the development and/or operation of administrative systems, programs, policies and practice.

Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
